Guitar Village was established in 1977 by Derek Eyre Walker. Derek owned and operated Guitar Village until 1990, when Derek sold the store to long time friend and guitar virtuoso, David McMillan. Derek left Australia and went on to open a store under the same name Guitar Village in Farnham, England, which is now one of the largest musical instrument stores in England. It’s not uncommon to see the likes of Clapton and Page selecting their the next vintage Les Paul or Strat there.

By 1999 Dave’s own live musical commitments had taken over his already busy life, leaving him the proud opportunity to hand the store operations over to his eldest son and daughter, Bobby and Emily McMillan, both of whom had already at a young age, established themselves in the local music scene on the Mornington Peninsula. Guitar Village is still, to this day, situated at 12-13 Park Lane, Frankston, in Victoria.

After many years as one of the main musical instrument retailers on the Peninsula, Guitar Village still has the reputation of delivering the right sales advice and service for every type of musical instrument need a person could have. Whatever your musical needs, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
